titanium watch Jul 24, 2010 After reading the other reviews I bought this for my husband who suffers from a very bad skin rash if he wears a non titanium watch. He loves it and says it is the best watch he has ever had. The blue face is beautiful and he says it keeps truly accurate time. Well worth the money!!!

Broken crystals and broken promises Jul 05, 2010 I loved the look and feel of this timepiece. However, within weeks of light usage they crystal broke. Naturally, that is not covered by the warranty. I wonder why? I then ordered a new crystal on my own dime ($25 plus shipping). While I waited, I wore the watch. I needed to know what time it was! During my wait, the watch fastening mechanism failed THREE times, sending my watch to the floor, denting the watch. When I received my crystal and had it put in, the crystal lasted 2 days before breaking on the end of my desk at work (which has a rubberized edge, by the way). ABSOLUTE JUNK and Skagen knows it -- they warranty all but the crystal. MANY other watch-makers warranty the crystal. I will be choosing a different brand today. I strongly suggest you do the same.
Not Rated as water proof to 99 feet Jun 30, 2010 Don't get me wrong this is a great watch, it's attractive and comfortable. However, I like a versatile watch. This watch is not rated to 99 feet as advertised by Amazon. You can't take a shower or a quick swim with the watch on. If you don't want to remove your watch for these activities, don't buy this watch. The best you can do is wash your hands with it on, or splash water on it. This information from the watch manual and watch seller. I bought it because I believed the hype.

Like the watch, but... Jun 20, 2010 ...the band is a bit unreliable. It's come loose several times and I imagine it will inevitably fall off and be lost, at which point I'll replace this watch with one with a better band. Also, the calendar is too small and too recessed to be legible (at least for my aging eyes.)

Love(d) this watch, battery just died, scared of sending it in Jun 04, 2010 I bought this watch for myself for my birthday, in November '09. I started wearing it and loved it IMMEDIATELY. The watch is beautiful, I adore the design (specifically the wrist band), and it's wonderful. A couple of days ago I noticed while putting it on the time was off by 25 minutes, and about an hour ago I noticed it's dead.
I've read thru other Amazon user's reviews, and it seems like the constant fault of this company is their customer service. I'm afraid to send it in to Skagen due to this. I tried calling Skagen's customer service numbers, one from the documentation that comes with the watch and another from their website, but both gave me busy signals. This did not help my anxiety about sending it in.
I knock a single star off my review for this reason only. I don't understand how the battery could be drained so fast, even if it had been on a shelf for a while before being shipped to me. Watch batteries should last quite a while longer than this. Otherwise, this is a great watch, that's very light and comfortable for that reason. It's beautiful and an eye catcher, as well.
